Get ready for some fun patterns over the next few months! I am so excited for this summer because I have planned some really awesome patterns and tip articles. Today I want to share with you an overview of what you can expect and how I go about planning it out. I guess you could say this is kind of my first tip article.
First, I’m going to show you what I like to use and how I like to plan out my content. Then, I’ll share with you some of the fun patterns I have in mind. Keep reading you’re going to enjoy this!
Tools for Planning Your Content
I don’t like to be stressed out. I mean really who does? To relieve the stress of blogging, marketing, and all the other business things I use calendar sheets, weekly planner sheets, and task lists. Seriously, they make life so much easier as long as you stick to them and follow through with your plan! I also like to use a simple agenda planner from Walmart. I like to see everything down on paper. Its just what I like to do, but I also use my phone.
My favorite planning sheets are ones that I found over on the blog Megmade With Love. Megan designed these templates herself and they’re absolutely darling! I printed off the calendar sheets, weekly sheets, and the ideas sheets. These were a genius idea by Megan because they make everything SO much easier to keep organized.
I like to keep mine in sheet protectors in this binder. Having everything in this binder is so handy! I can just flip it open, pull a sheet out, write down what I need to, put it back and keep everything nice and uniform.
Here’s how I use mine.
I use the calendars to kind of frame out my month. This is where I put down my goals and things like that. For example, I’m planning to release my Summer Ivy Cardi pattern later this month so I have the due date marked down. Then I have all of my blog posts marked and written down.
Weekly Task Sheets
After I plan out my month, I like to plan out my week with the weekly planners. I use this as more of a task list for each day, but I don’t like to plan out more than a week ahead because…life happens. Haha! So I always sit down on a weekend and plan out the week ahead.
Once I write all of that down, I like to put it all down in my phone so I can set reminders and keep myself on schedule. These templates are amazing for normal everyday life too not just whatever business you run. If you like to plan out your meals and grocery trips these are very helpful for that too. Head over to Megan’s blog, show her some love, and get yourself these templates! You’re going to be so glad you did!
New Things Happening at C.S. Handmade Crafts
There’s all kinds of floating around in my mind that I want to make for this summer. If only there were more hours in a day. Sigh. Oh well! I have some pretty awesome things nailed down that I want to share with you these next few months.
First off when I think summer I think of all kinds of fruity themed things. I’m just obsessed with all things fruits! I love fruit decor and clothing! They just brighten things up and make everything happy. You can expect jewelry, bags, cup cozies, and possibly tops. Think pineapples, lemons, oranges, limes, watermelon, and apples. Gosh I’m so excited about this fruity series!
I’m also going to dabble a bit more with clothing and accessories for both adults and kiddos. In my opinion there’s not enough toddler boy crochet clothing patterns so I’d like to design a few summer toddler patterns. Especially since I have a cute little boy to model for me!
Home decor has been on my mind too. I have a few ideas in mind, but I’m curious to see what you think. Let me know in the comments below if you’d like to see some home decor designs or more accessories and garments.
The Big News
The biggest piece of news I’m most excited about though is…I’m working on a shop update! I’ll soon be adding bags, jewelry, and other accessories to my Etsy shop. I don’t have a date set quite yet. That will be determined in the next couple of weeks, but you can find me on Instagram @c.s.handmadecrafts to follow along and be in the know. I’m so excited about the next few months and can’t wait to share it all with you!
So tell me, what’s your favorite thing to crochet or knit for the spring and summer months? Or do you like to take interest in other crafts? Let me know below what you’re most excited about this summer!
Thanks so much for checking out this post today! I hope you have an amazing day! Happy Monday!
